When I was just a babe in Christ, even before I had attended any churches, The Devil used to attack me and tell me that I wasn't saved, and that I had committed the unforgivable sin. One day he had me so scared I was shaking and thought I'd go crazy ,I ran to the bible on the table and cried out to God :Lord I need a word from you now!!" I flipped open that bible as I arrived at the table and threw my finger on a scripture and it said"it is impossible to say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit"!! Well you can be sure I started shouting"Jesus is Lord, Jesus is Lord"!!!Peace came to me and the devil left me for awhile. So feeling much better a few days later I went out side to fix my broken down Toyota and as I had my head under the hood Larry came up to me and said "Mike ,are you playing anywhere tonight?" (I was still playing in bars for a living at the time) and I said "no." and Larry answered "remember you said you'd come to church if you weren't playing? well we're having a service tonight" I knew right then he'd gone fishing and I bit it hook ,line and sinker. I went to that church that night and The Lord changed my life to a higher ground ,...again.forever. The Lord was leading and I was beginning to follow(though not yet to my knowledge) But being young in the Lord and still hanging around old friends, I fell and sinned. I knew I had lost the Lord,lost my girlfriend (she moved on)and didn't really see any reason to keep on with this church stuff.Once again Larry heard God. I was in my trailer alone and I heard a knock at the door, it was Larry and he said "I really feel you should hear the message from church today" I hurtfully answered "well I guess I missed out." But Larry said " I got a tape of the preaching and brought it to you" and I said brushing him off "But I don't have a cassette machine" and Larry replied" the Lord told me to bring a tape recorder with me ,here yah go" So I sat down and put that tape on and there came a part in the preaching where the pastor spoke of returning to Bethel(The House of God) and then he said" I believe that there are those that are here and those that haven't come here today THAT GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOU TO RETURN TO THE HOUSE OF GOD"!!!! I fell to my knees and cried for hours!! How much God loves us!! Praise God!!! read His Mercy in the column on the left for more uplifting.

HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER:Psalm 136 After I had gotten married we had a little trailor in Clarkston behind someones house. The bed room was in the far back and after church one afternoon I was sitting on the bed and praying. The sermon had been some pretty deep digging and I felt a little beat up and felt like I had failed.As I sat there the Lord said"what's in the middle of the bible?" so I looked in the index and divided it and came to the psalm where it says over and over "Give thanks to the Lord for He is Good for His Mercy endureth forever" I felt great after reading that and was basking in a "sweet,been with the Lord Sunday afternoon feeling " and the Devil said " you didn't count the white pages at the beginning and the back of the book so that can't be the middle!" There went my good sunday afternoon feeling, so I counted all the white pages added them to the total and divided them and came right back to the same psalm covering both pages right and left and felt a sigh of relief . But the devil never gives up and he said to me "you forgot to count the maps !" I slapt myself in the forehead and went duh! I knew this couldn't be God and went on to count the maps ,all the white pages and every other page from cover to cover of that bible . I was sure I must not have heard God.(the devil is a master at stealing the seed right out of your head) But I divided all the pages in half once again and came to the very same psalm covering the right page and the left. Then God said to me "My mercy is the very center of my Word" I've never forgotten that teaching of the Lord and He has revealed more of it in depth throughout my years of walking with Him. Everything else can fail but the mercy of God endureth forever.Praise God,Thank you Lord. The tender mercy of my God never fails!!!
